As With Any Surgery, Rhinoplasty Carries Infrequent Complications
July 22, 2010When a nose job procedure is performed by a qualified Southern California cosmetic surgeon, complications will generally be minor and will be infrequent. Regardless, there is a risk of complications that come with most procedures. These include an adverse reaction to anesthesia, infections, or nosebleed. These are capable of being reduced by closely following the instructions that are provided by a plastic surgeon both prior to and after the surgery.
After the procedure is finished, tiny red spots may appear on the skin’s surface. This is caused by small burst blood vessels and may or may not be permanent. Enicno rhinoplasty is typically performed on the inside of one’s nose, so there is no visible scarring. However, if an “open technique” is used, there will likely be some scarring on the base of the nose, but this is typically not visible.
