The Fluid Injection Liposuction Technique
August 19, 2010In the Fluid Injection technique, a medicated solution is injected into fatty areas before the fat is removed via California liposuction. This is a commonly utilized technique of today. The fluid is a combination of epinephrine (a drug that contracts blood vessels), saline solution, and lidocaine (a local anesthetic) that, provides anesthesia during and after surgery, reduces blood loss, reduces the amount of bruising after surgery, and simply helps remove the fat more easily. The amount of fluid that is injected depends on the preference of the San Diego plastic surgeon.
